I was on BLS regarding labor stats for some trades I was looking into. BLS states that the employment outlook for carpenters and boilermakers is about 2% for the former and -1% for the latter. But numerous sites regarding the dwindling number of tradesmen mention how there are not enough of people in those jobs. Should I be listening to BLS or just go for those jobs anyway? I just want an interesting and fulfilling job with decent pay to support a family. Not planning on becoming rich through just my job, I would rather invest in supplemental income overtime to soften blow of medical treatments needed from my job. BTW, I like the 20s to 40s Art Deco industrial look so I picked this pic. I am not a commie or marxist-leninist, I just liked how it gives the impression of how I feel about the field of work being constructive and rigorous.
