Beauty standards differ by region and I'm wondering which chemical changes need to happen for a brain to be shaped (or is it genetic) to be attracted to ingroup (or outgroup).
Also, what explains the mechanism behind X-"fever" for lack of a better word?

Most metrics for attraction are objective. Tits, and ass, hip to waist ratio, fat distribution, signs of fertility, etc. for men. Broad shoulders, good jaw line, signs of upper body strength, etc. for women. While I'm not sure which genes are involved here, I do know political beliefs have heritability, and liberalism is evolutionarily novel; tending to prefer its outgroup. That would be desiring other races. Additionally, several studies linked liking obese women with high levels of cortisol on the brain (high stress), and hunger.
