There are two sexes: female and male. However, there is a continuum of gender. Gender is just the composition of ideas society creates surrounding identity. It's made up. It's make believe. Society creates these gender roles and people adopt them and conform to them. This also creates a lot of issues. Especially with identity confusion caused by dissonance. For example, it is viewed that boys like playing with cars and rolling around in the mud while girls like playing with dolls and makeup. Yet this doesn't have any underlying biological basis. Girls that are viewed as boyish are called tomboys as if it's abnormal. But variation in identity independent of sex is what should be normal instead of conformity to societal expectations. Who is to say boys can't like playing with dolls and girls can't like playing with cars? See through the illusion that is gender roles.
But there is at least one thing that is problematic with that plaque depicting the human sexes and that is the discrepancy in height and muscle composition. The female and male forms distinguishing the masculine and feminine aesthetics are fine however they should be the same size and muscle mass. The female looks too weak here. The plaque is supposed to represent humanity universally and given that gender varies vastly between cultures, gender bias should be minimized. The depiction gives off a hint of patriarchal gender views. But ideally the plaque would reflect humanity's future goals, so the female should be a large amazon goddess and the male should be a small cute twink.
