I am trying to learn discrete mathematics. I found these lectures by Steven Skiena for knuth's book concrete mathematics.
https://www3.cs.stonybrook.edu/~skiena/547/ It contains assignments, slides, recommended readings and a course schedule.
should I go with it or with the MIT 6.042J one instead ?

Also, I got a C- in CS Math, but I think one of the best things you can have is a mentor who can guide you in the right direction, or someone else whose learning the same thing.

Concrete by Knuth is a fantastic book, but it definitely does demand that you work the examples slowly and pay close attention to the idea that is being conveyed. I believe Knuth and team helped to develop the repertoire method to solving recurrences as I cannot find any reference of it outside of the book, though I may be wrong. With that said, you can see the book does seek to teach a rather specific school of thought, but ultimately Knuth developed it with cs majors in mind.
