I forgot what got me interested in the subject, but I got curious as to if cows sleeping standing up and found out they slept for about two hours a day because they are typically prey. Then I looked up how much cats sleep and found they sleep for about fifteen hours a day because they are prey. Now, my question is why do humans need eight hours of rest?
