>>14086328Quaila is, almost by definition, not a continuous experience. Different quails are different individual, subjective experiences such as joy (emotion), pain (sensation), smoothness (texture), brightness (colour), sourness (taste) etc. They may feel continuous as you cannot realistically seperate time into different qualia as there are as many different types as your imagination allows.
It seems you may have mistakes ‘qualia’ for ‘consciousness’ in which case existence feels continuous because you have no reference point for what a different experience would feel like. It’s like a baby eating it’s first ever fruit which is a (ripe) banana and it thinking it is sour. An experience adult with many reference points of many different foods can say that it is not sour, comparing to your average food. Despite this, your mind is constantly changing, and the experience of a changing mind has become what feels like an unchanging mind because it is so familiar. Each thought you have makes you a little different.
