So apparently charges at rest under the influence of gravity don't radiate in their rest frame, but an inertial observer (such as a free falling detector) relative to these particles will measure radiation because the charged particles are accelerating. That's fine, apparently the comoving observer in the rest frame can't 'see' the part of spacetime where the charges are radiating. But, consider that for the inertial observer the charged particles are undergoing a uniform proper acceleration. If this acceleration is constant then it is implied that the radiation reaction force is zero. So what the hell is providing energy to the system?
