It is something I wish no one, not you, not me, not anyone, would need to even remember as an option. This discussion, however, is totally unrelated to whether suicide is nice or not. The initial assumption is that X is going to kill themself and the question is how much more do others need to suffer because of that choice. Finding X dead will itself be a tragedy to people who cared about X, no doubt, but finding X without a cranium is bound to cause more trauma to a normal person than to find X seemingly sleeping with a note saying "sry, I was a bit tired", you know? This shouldn't be too hard to grasp, really...
