idk if my university just sucks for engineering, but the physics and especially the math involved look far more basic than the just physics/just math degrees. People on the degree have never struck me as geniuses, those are usually in math, CS and physics. (wrt STEM anyway)

Granted I'm an undergrad so what do I know, but people really overrate the difficulty of university engineering courses. Shit is just tedious. But anything that requires actual thinking or complicated math is reduced to a form where it's easier to solve or you just have Matlab do it for you

He does teach in some Florida University. A comment on one of the videos a year ago was a student stating he enjoyed the class.
If you look through math faculty in Florida schools, you'll find him.

I did a double major in mathematics and electrical engineering and personally I think mathematics was the hardest
When I got to the proper real analysis my doubts immediately began to set in and I quickly abandoned my pure mathematics ambitions and just took applied mathematics classes which were still very difficult but kind of easy for me
The hardest part about engineering is that you study quite a diverse number of topics and a lot of them can be quite boring, I hated the classes which were just applying equations with the data or memorising things

I can guarantee he was a 'mature student' who went to some shit-tier uni where the analysis exams involved repeating the proofs in the text verbatim and nothing more.
