i believe copying of the human consciousness is possible but transfering seems like it would be a hurdle

how would you shut off the origin in the brain and keep it permanently off by removing the essence of consciousness? i really want to believe we can transfer our bodies into clones within our lifetimes because that's just how fast humanity is gonna race to it with elon musk in tow.
