Most people in physics believe there is a reality out there of abstract forms that are exhaustively described by quantities. They believe these forms appear in our perceptions largely intact (we percieve most of the truth of reality. They believe our brains are one of those abstract forms and produces conciousness.
I just don't see how we will get an explaination for conciousness in this way of viewing things. How can an abstract form described fully by quantities, like magic, produce experience?
