>>14086664You linked to an article that's a year old thats rife with amateur calculations.
1) There are more than a 150K Starlink current customers with ~2000 sats
2) The bandwidth/speed is an extremely simplified and inaccurate way to calculate how much users can be supported. All ISPs over subscribe their network so its networks are properly used. Cable/Fibers have ~100:1 over subscription rate. GEO stats have ~50:1 oversubscription rate. Heck, we can even assume a low 20:1 oversubscription rate and multiply the user capacity by 20X to 40+ million users concurrently.
3) Bandwidth of the each Starlink sat is from the early 0.9v demo test sats that were launched a 2 years ago. Those are defunct. The ~2000 sats up are v1.0 and v1.5 sats. We don't know the capacity for each sats, but its likely atleast doubled in bandwidth.
4) 30 million users paying $100 per month x 12 month = 36 billion per year revenue.
5) Currently with ~150K users, thats 150K x $100 x 12 month = 180 million per year revenue, but this number isn't static, they're adding in ~20K-30K users a month and has ~half a million preorders and increasing to fulfil.
Going deep down into your ignorance shows your own retardness.
