>>14070431Particles are anything with a definite start and a definite end. The act of emitting light involves photons, particles with a definite start and a definite end on the thermometer relating to the frequency of emission, or color of the light.
Waves repeat. They have frequency and amplitude. Emitting light also involves two independent bodies whose external properties which do not accurately reflect their internal properties. There's a margin on those bodies which will expand the universe by emitting light if not absorbed so they are modeled as a waves with a big spike at their current position and a near zero value going on forever.
