>>14068785I'm talking more about now than two years ago. Two years ago I was basically this person, sheltered in place, only leaving to go to the shops once a week, busying myself in my own house. I have worn my masks throughout (even when my government said we could stop before re-enforcing them late last month.) I've been duly jabbed and boosted.
I do, however listen to what's going on. I read articles and studies. I watch the news with measure. For instance, the person in this post probably thinks another lockdown is a good idea, or that schools should close or whatever. I disagree. I think at this point these measures would do little good and lots more harm.
I'm anti-lockdown not in an anti-vax-Covid-isn't-real sense but in a there-has-to-be-a-better-way-than-locking-us-in-our-houses.
We have evidence. Blind fear of the sort she's exuding (clearly as a virtue signal, because why else post it to the internet) is counterproductive. Why have gloves? They impede hand-washing and sanitising (and surface transmission has been shown to be negligible, and you can't use touchscreen gloves with other gloves underneath.) Why have a face shield? What is that doing?
There are people out here still washing their shopping when they bring it in out of fear of Covid.
