>>14064482> Since climatology can not incorporate double-blind studies, as are routine in other sciencesFirst of all: climatology involves physics, geography, biology, and chemistry (when you think about it, all of these are vital to accurately describe the Earth climate). Does the double-blind study apply in physics or geography? The term has a pretty specific meaning, and I have no idea what a double-blind physical experiment would look like.
> Ooh, nice experiment you got there, Michelson and Morley. But have you double-blinded the photons?Perhaps the term might apply to peer reviewing process. However, OP's screenshot suggests that "other sciences" use double-blind, whereas climatology does not. That sounds like a misunderstanding of the term "double-blind study", or a manipulation. Given that I've skimmed through the source book once, I'm leaning towards the latter.
A more correct sentence would be "climatology can not incorporate double-blind, as are routine in medicine and social sciences." But that doesn't have the same punch, does it.
