No, she didn't taste metal. I did forget to mention she said she felt hot and dizzy. Later that day she was very tired, but I haven't noticed anything else since then (it happened yesterday).

Well in all seriousness, her reaction sounds like a fairly common response to needles and probably has nothing to do with the vaccine itself. I've fainted like a bitch after a blood test before, even though I didn't feel particularly scared. I researched it a bit and it's unclear whether it's purely psychological or not. The only serious responses to the vaccine that could occur in 30 minutes are

and she probably didn't have those.

Anaphylaxis could definitely cause a drop in blood pressure and fainting, but the nurses shouldn't miss that. I asked about the metal taste thinking maybe they hit a blood vessel. Just keep an eye out for chest pain in the next few weeks, have her take it easy. I'm not a doctor btw, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn.

Sounds like mistreated anaphylactic shock.
Sometimes it's hard to differ between severe vasovagal syncope and anaphylaxis, but if there's serious drops in blood presure and long lasting unconsciousness, I would administer epinephrine i.m. asap

I always partially faint whenever I need to take blood or get a needle in my body
It's not even during the injection, it's after I get up, my eyes start seeing every thing blurry like everything is fogging up with steam from a hot shower
I am conscious through all of it which is the scariest part, I lose strength in my legs and need to sit or lie down
If I close my eyes and breathe deeply for a while it goes away. This is the only circumstance this shit happens to me, I am a very calm person otherwise
