>>14071881Were you medicated previously? Do you know a lot about ADHD and the various medications for it? At least in the US, if you're knowledgeable, a general practitioner may be willing to prescribe whichever medication you want if you have a good explanation. They're fairly intelligent people so if you're not the sharpest tool in the shed, you need to go through the proper routes.
Read some medical texts about ADHD and stuff in the ADHD subreddits to get better idea about what's representative of ADHD. If you actually have ADHD, you probably don't realize a lot of your behaviors that are actually due to the ADHD. This will also help you verbalize yourself. Show wariness and concern towards the medications as well. Longterm risk, is the risk even known even if they say there is none, aren't amphetamines actually bad for the brain, are there any medications that aren't neurotoxic (this leads you to methylphenidate). You get the idea. And don't ever lie, only white lies at most.
I actually do have ADHD but I still made sure I knew what I was talking about when I went in. It also helps to build trust. They really appreciate dealing with people that aren't fucking retarded. Which is probably normal, but they're often forced to deal with retards.
