>>14064307The children of a post-scarcity society would be difficult to raise properly. It would be difficult to teach them the value of property, the concept of ownership, if literally anything were available to them without cost. In our current state, with our fracturing societies, with distrust spiderwebbing through like cracks in a pane of glass, we would almost certainly destroy each other, unrestricted by materials, but not so similarly unhampered by human pride, arrogance, spite and vendetta. Even if we somehow averted global catastrophe, we would still struggle to instil ideas in our future generations that may prevent such a thing.
