I picked a flower and put it in some water, and it got me thinking. That flower will stay alive and well for about a week or so before it shrivels up and dies, because it has water, CO2, and sunlight, but not the raw elements needed to replace deterioration in the flower, hence it needs soil. But are there any flowers that don't need soil at all? Something that can pull its nutrients solely from the air and survive longterm in regular tap water or distilled water?
