Remember the Mars One hoax a few years ago?

A shady company launched what became a viral project to send a crew of humans on a ONE WAY journey to Mars. They had a website where you could submit an application for why you should be among the crew.

Of course it was a scam. But I was shocked just how many believed it was legitimate.
