What would you say is the origin of red hair? The concentrations of red hair today are kinda confusing. Found in the highest concentrations amongst 2 populations distant from eachother several thousands of miles. The Irish, and the Udmurts.
What would be your take /sci/?

Some amazihiz have red hair. So it's not that crazy, off course I assume the amazhig don't have near the concentration of red hair irish and udmurts have.

Red hair is a Jewish trait. Approximately 6-8% of Jews are redheads, which is a frequency only beaten by the deepest parts of Udmurtia and Ireland/Britain.

We know Ramses II had red hair and probably Seti I did as well. Red hair was thought to be a huge status symbol in Egypt, probably making red haired anons have gone through the biggest social downgrade in history since they went from being thought of as literally godly to being bullied in school until the girls date niggers and nonwhites who still think they look nice
It sounds farfetched but there does seem to be some historical link between the origin of the Celts and North Africa.

Wrong. There is a strange genetic link between Finnish people and Moroccans though. In fact Finns are more closely related to north Africans than other Europeans are, it sounds weird I know.

Celtics are more closely related to Turks/Levantines, and by celtics I'm talking about Spain, France, England and Ireland and western Germany. Eastern Euros are more closely related to Caucuses and central Asians than they are to Levantines.

There is nothing of substance here when you say "wrong" and then move on to a completely different claim.
Of course Finnish are more closely related to north africans, it isn't weird at all that the population with the largest portion of Indo-European DNA would be closer related to the African population with higher portion of Indo-European DNA.

this is doesn't make any sense because at some points, the jewish population was concentrated in the middle east, and the pale skin trait associated with read hair is defavorable and indeed rare in this environment.

If it is true that 6-8% of today's jews are red hair, it is more likely because of inter mixing with europeans

It's well known Ramses II did have red hair. The dye theories are ridiculous to begin with, and genetic testing has decided in favour of him having naturally red hair.
As for the Celts, even if we discard the mythological links such as the princess Scota coming from ancient Egypt to the Isles, and other bizarre mythological coincidences, relatively recent genetic studies have shown that the ancient Irish did actually have a large amount of their DNA come from some middle eastern population, which again supports this claim.

It was carried by steppe populations, Udmurts are heavily steppe, Irish are heavily steppe. Probably luck of the draw for those 2 vs other heavy steppe populations, just due to a handful more redheads landing in those places than elsewhere back when their ethnogenesis populations were small and bottleneck looking. Dunno its pre-steppe population origins. Probably popped up and died out a handful of times through the paleolithic.

steppe makes sense, since Scythians, one of the ancient populations closer to pure steppe were said to be red haired by multiple sources. Which makes it even more intriguing.
