>>14052570>life extension possible? If you've ever eaten a salad and gone for a run while taking vitamins, you've probably extended your life slightly. So yes. It's already possible.
Plenty of technologies in experimental stages.
You'd have to have a working model. Someone or something that has actually staved off the big KO itself, before you can have a hope at applying it to your mortal self.
So far we have:
Immortal Jellyfish: Reverse age inside a cocoon like polyp and pop out rejuvenated (Memories would still build and become large, needs to be managed with another trick.)
Immortal Medusa: Use a slow but constant checking system that limits metabolism but allows all cells to check themselves to 100 percent. (Memories would still stack, and you would need a way to manage them with another trick.)
The Lobster: Grows by shedding its skeleton. It's core stem cells are generally speaking, very stable, but any damage is near fatal. It grows constantly and eventually runs out of energy to break out of its own skeleton. Great if you want to mimic and have planned on becoming a "Great Old One" from the Lovecraft series. Terrible if you have ever read Clifford The Dog.
(No need to manage memories, brain is constantly expanding. At least you will have plenty of them to mull over in the exoskeleton jail cell that will be your body.)
????: Maybe there's another way. If three natural creatures can mitigate it, maybe more can.
