What can explain the rapid decline in posting quality on this site over the past couple of years? Anons tend to say that 2016 was the year everything went down hill, but I just do not see it. 2019 was the year everything really went to the dogs: soijack posting; a sudden, near constant influx of low effort ESL bait threads; a complete loss of originality across every board... these are the horrors that truly spelled the end of this site.

Why did it happen, how did it happen so quickly, and are there any burgeoning alternatives?
