If anything, one of the main obstacles I see when it comes to the use of bacteriophages is reception by the public. If people are already up in arms about taking a vaccine imagine how people will react to using active viral particles (even though they specifically target bacteria take into account that the masses wont understand the mechanisms that make it safe). Same thing goes with helminthic therapy, even though the results aren't promising, it's not like most people would be on board to get infected by a parasite.
