I've been growing oyster mushrooms and lions mane for a hobby for a while now and I have been reading a bit about their lifecycle on the biology side of things and I have a few questions I hope someone here could answer.
I've seen a few resources that state that the spores themselves essentially can be crossbred by placing two spores near one another in the initial stages of development, what determines the sucess of this? Also what kinds of tools are required to manipulate things so small into a close location? I'd like to breed my pink oyster mushroom with my lions mane if possible, has this been done before? Would it be possible to accidentally create a poisonous mushroom from these two, I dont want to have my kidneys shut down afterall. Also whats a good microscope capable of seeing the objects in a dry slide, I'm not sure exactly how small the specific spores
