>>14042732Alabama, specifically Huntsville. Tons of STEM jobs and low cost of living means you can live like a king. 16% of residents have an advanced degree, 42% have a bachelors degree. The state has good universities (not world class but good). The public school system is horrendous in much of the state but as long as you're in the right district, it's good in Huntsville plus there are good private schools. If you're not going to have school age kids soon, this isn't an issue anyway. Start your career in Huntsville and then move to Colorado Springs, Palo Alto or whatever high cost of living place you want as your earning grow throughout your career.
