By this process I can just get the ammonia directly from the urine. Would the mild oxidiser work if it was the oxigen in the air?

ammonia can be burned like natural gas but you need good control of the concentrations, it can be regulated better as a flow in a bunsen burner than in a container

You would need to oxidize the ammonia in controlled conditions over some metal catalyst at high temperatures, I think, otherwise you'd get the most stable products which are water and nitrogen. Look up Ostwald process.
