>>14040620Urrrgh the old "i ain't got no 6/12 fingies" argument that only idiots that are too dumb to imagine counting in a base other than 10 would say. Like have you mother fuckers ever heard of quantizing? We QUANTIZE our fingers in this bases. ALSO WE'VE GOT THESE THINGIES ON OUR FINGERS, YOU KNOW, THE LINES. We can use them too.
If your argument for not switching from the shitty decimal base is fingers, I have bad news for you. In base six for example, we simply use the lines on our fingers to count. And we have more lines on our fingers that we've got fingers.
In 1926 the King of Iran wanted to switch to Latin alphabet but they told him not to, because thent they have to spend a lot of money reeducating a lot of peopl eand repritning a lot of books and the 'heritage' argument was brought up. Two things happened: 1- now every moron looks at our script and thinks Persian is related to Arabic somehow just because how how it's written which could not be further from the truth, Arabic revels in being written that way, Persian suffers. 2- If he had switched to the Latin alphabet like Turks did a lot of young people would have been unable to read Killhammad ibn Gaydullah's murder book, so the 1979 revolution would not have happened.
What bad things are we forcing to happen and what things are we postponing by not having human faggots switch bases? As a programmer I have thought myself to think in Hexadecimal (despite what people may thinkk binary is not at all used in programming, just rarely) and I can safely say even base 16 is better than base 10 in some regards. Not useful for real life, but arithmetic is much easier.
Look at the millions of children who suffer in math because they can't do base 10 arithmetic. Why? Because from day 10 they are taught to use their fingers, that's a baaad habit to develop.
Overall fuck base 10.
