Happy new year scianons!
My question to you, oh so big brained autists; is my and the observation of a friend of mine. You will explain this to Grug:
Last year and this year at night around midnight 11:30-00:30 I have seen picrelated. It was a completely cloud free night, at least we couldnt see any clouds, we could see the stars perfectly(no rain days before and after observation). I made the pic with my phone(focal length 4mm, 1/4sec F/1,7). We can see the moon and around it is a gigantic huge circle (about 1/10 of the complete sky), corona/halo. The halo/shining around the moon is the camera being overexposed, thats no corona/halo which we would have observed.
Now my question is what was it exactly?
Why were there no clouds in that area, around the moon? You know, like when bombs explode in high altitude, clouds are "erazed" ? (i know i know pressure pushes their particles ect) Analogous to that, that night there were zero clouds in that area, around the moon and, for a fact at all in the sky.
(we both got mildly paranoid about this whole ordeal since the ring was SO FREAKING HUGE LIKE REALLY HUGE THAT WE DIDNT NOTICE IT AT ALL AND IT REALLY WAS HARD TO NOTICE IT , that i had to point it out multiple times out to my friend and even get behind him and show him in 3rd persion where the circle was; he even was startled as i guided his perception) 1/2
