Considering that infertile individuals can’t pass on their genes, thus eliminating themselves from the gene pool, how can infertility still exist? Are our reproductive systems riding so close to “good enough” that any defect is just too much? Or just like in gay individuals, the genes associated to infertility in one gender increase the likelihood of offspring in another?
