>>14033098-ere. This is literally an artifact of the shear amount of testing that's happened in the run up to Christmas. Seriously, for a while we were processing around 1.5-2 million tests a day. When you look at the percentage of positive tests, there has been an increase, but it's only gone from around 5% of tests to around 7% of tests. It's just that a lot of people that, before the omicron scaremongering, would have just accepted the cold like symptoms were just a cold decided instead to test themselves.
