>>14034184The ocean has high salinity, that's important to take into account as it increases the buoyancy of everything in it. Icebergs dont have salt, they form in saltwater but they're composed of freshwater because salt has a lower freezing point. Essentially the buoyancy causes a large amount of the iceberg's volume to remain above the water, especially with ice sheets. Also theres a fuckton of land icebergs which haven't melted yet and they'll 100% contribute to sea rise.
