What methods exist to "see" planets in other solar systems?

I am aware of three methods for detecting exoplanets:
1) Detecting when the planet passes in front of its star by carefully measuring the light from the star.
2) Detecting the wobble induced in the star by the gravity of the planet by measuring the doppler shift of its light.
3) Direct imaging of the planet, using some system to block out the light of the star.

I would expect improvements in all of these methods, over time.

How great would it be to see more planets in the Goldilocks zone on their own Google Earth?

I'm like a guy in the 1700s wishing he could see thousands of naked women having sex on a 75" screen.

currently the only way i know of we could actually see an exo planet as in capture an image of it is by launching a swarm of solar sails out to a point where the sun acts as a lens allowing us to use the sun as a giant telescope
and that gets us 1 picture of 1 planet
hopefully we figure out something better cos to get anything really useful from this wed have to be launching lots of swarms of solar sails and waiting years for each to reach the focal point just to get single pictures of only a tiny portion of the planets out there

There are other ways to measure space than light. Gravity waves. Quantum entanglement. Nuclear decay.

Longer exposures show more nebulosity, but a cloudless sky in the Southern Hemisphere, far from any artificial light, looks a lot like that. I would recommend the Australian outback or the Namib desert.
