>>14027746You can't actually replace petroleum, it isn't just "energy", it is a raw material, most things of daily use require materials that are made from petroleum, there are many chemicals, drugs, medical equipments that are made from petroleum, it is even used in industrial farming. The list is basically endless. Civilisation as we know it will literally end without petroleum.
Rare metals are petroleum 2.0 btw, Every things that is hi-tech needs them. You might wanna read up on the extraction and refining process of rare metals. All electronics also require silicon, and unknown to most it doesn't come from muh sand, it comes from burning Quartz with double the amount of Coal in a factory.
As for muh climate scientists I don't see anyone talking about this at all, in fact most climate scientists aren't concerned about this, the most popular political policy right now is Green New Deal and it is a load of crap.
