>>14026542no. there is no one characteristic of humans that made us the way we are. we’re omnivorous, we use tools, we repeatedly discovered new ways to increase nutrition yield from the environment (cooking, agriculture, selective breeding, etc.), we employed a variety of complex communication methods (not just speech, but writing, music, conspicuous culture) we have a ridiculously long maturation period which forces us to experience empathy more than pretty much any animal to the point where we experience empathy for inanimate objects, the list goes on. a lot of odd adaptations combined to make us “intelligent”
