Just as someone in the church needs a priest to tell him what to think, so too do leftists need to tune into CNN on Sundays to be told what to think. Ask any leftist trying to flex on twitter by admonishing the unvaccinated to explain in their own words beyond a sentence or two how these vaccines work and why people should take them and I 100% guarantee you they can't do it. There are a whole host of other falsehoods they believe in simply because it was dictated by the right authorities and makes them feel like the 'good guy'--recycling, being anti-nuclear power, systemic racism, veganism, homeopathic medicine, infinite genders, etc. People are naturally irrational and just because you take them out of Church doesn't fix that. At least religion has an interesting story and traditions and is built on what has worked for 1,000s of years--the "scientism" of the left is just empty consumerism with no higher purpose than the self, no sense of history or obligations to your neighbors--just dye your hair purple and get fucked up and play video games until you die childless with nothing to show for it except for a collection of funko pop dolls and a Neil DeGrasse Tyson shirt.
