It's real, but this kind of thing is common with lots of moderate severity diseases, just most of them have been eliminated so people don't think about it much. For instance lots of people who get mono have fatigue/brain fog for up to a year, and it can cause cancer decades later. Diseases are just bad and we are kind of spoiled bc most people never get anything worse than flus/colds now

Pretty much fake.

I read one study that was super super controlled and blinded, and even had a control group of people who thought they had covid but in fact never did. It found that the only symptom that really did last well beyond covid infection was that some people were not able to recover their sense of taste or smell fully.

I think I had it after a moderate case of coof and it was VERY FUCKING REAL! It sucked, I felt like I had a bad flu for months and months.

I'm sure there are tons of douche-bags that are just hypochondriacs or lying or claim they have it if they don't feel great.

It says that there might be an association between belief in having had covid and reporting having long-covid in people who might not have even had covid. And it might be caused by something other than Covid?
