18 year old community college student here, I feel very lost on which degree to choose. I'm not good at math, science, or anything STEM in general. I got an A in College Algebra, but that was College Algebra. I've been shit at math since high school so I can't do STEM. Thought about engineering, but I'm not smart enough. Taking General Chemistry and Pre-Calc next semester so we'll see how I do in those. Should I just rope? I'm too stupid for anything.

If you got an A in college Algebra you are just fine for engineering. That is literally as hard as it gets, no lie. Calculus is a snap of you have solid algebra and trig foundation.

It's not about what you need to do but what you want to do. Remember that sooner or later you'll have to choose what you do for the next 40 years of your life. If you think only about money and job opportunities at 18yo you will be a mediocre whatever that will be depressed at 25-30 and probably end up doing something else. If you take time to determine the things you are really passionate about you will have the opportunity to become excellent in that field, without much effort, because working on your passion is not really work.
When you become excellent in a field, whatever it is, you'll find a way to make money out of it.

18 is pretty young, brain continues developing until like 23. abstract concepts are harder to grasp when you're younger.

If you don't show slightest of the spark though, better go for something other than STEM.

Get disciplined and learn calculus and differential equations. Study it in your spare time for the sake of being intelligent. It’ll help you no matter where you go. Then commit to something broad right now, like mechanical engineering or CS.
