Is it possible for mRNA vaccines to have unforseen long-term side effects?

I think we all know the risk of immediate/short-term side effects, but what do we know about any potential side effects that may occur 2+ years from now?

Note the use of the word 'Dramatically' and the dismissal of any contradicting information by gatekeeping what is considered credible. Of course, since factchecking is "just our opinion", there no longer is any need to care about actual facts. That they're even bothering with limiting their opinion with the word 'dramatically' indicates they're scared they're losing control of the narrative.

That's the point, we cannot know until they arise. The fact that the (((science community))) speaks with certainty that there is no adverse side effects is an undeniable lie. Anytime a demonstrated adverse side effect comes up at this point (and into the future) such as blood clots or myocarditis in young people, it will be hand waved away as "still worth it, the virus is worse then *insert irrefutable adverse side effect".

It's known that Moderna' mRNA vaccine has a risk of myocarditis in young men. That headline is true, but there's still a heart-related risk that somebody probably misspoke about.

Personally, my professors have been going out to public spaces and enjoying life again. They are not worried about the virus' effects on themselves because the reality is that this is only a significant threat to vulnerable populations (elderly, immunocompromised). I feel that they should have used robust social control measures to protect the vulnerable populations and hospital capacity. This would have let the rest of us avoid 2+ years of poor quality of life and a vaccine could go through trusted approval processes.

I think he's out of the loop. The mRNA are made in batches, with multiple reactor trains at multiple sites in parallel. The bottleneck is in fill/finish, but other lines can be added or other products sent in larger containers for immediate use.

To actually try to answer your question op, it's hard to imagine a mechanism by which the vaccines would cause any long term side effects. The contents of the vaccine are entirely cleared/metabolized within a few days, and any inflammatory reaction subsides within weeks/a month or two at most. Since the vaccine doesn't change your DNA in any way like some retards claim, once it's gone and your body's reaction to it has passed there's nothing more that can really happen. This is in contrast to other medicines with long term side effects which are usually taken for years, or are extremely harsh and present with obvious tissue damage immediately (chemotherapeutics etc.)

Because it takes years to observe outcomes for the different trials, and products should be proven safe in other animals before being given to humans, and then proven safe in a few humans before giving to millions of humans. Hopefully we'll learn in 5-10 years that there weren't many long term repercussions to the rush job, but more than likely, the possible consequences will be hidden or denied.

In a way they are a vaccine because they lead to exposure of an antigen which causes an immune response, but by that definition, we could call getting infected a vaccine as well. Traditionally a vaccine had been exposure to an attenuated virus. Then it was an inactivated virus. Means of exposure could vary (intramuscular, scraping the skin, drops in the sinuses). Viral vectors and mRNA are quite different. There's arguments for and against them being called vaccines, but using an old term for a new technology that isn't nearly as tested as many people seem to think makes it a little misleading imo. If, instead of calling them vaccines, they were called Messenger RNA Therapy, would people be as accepting? I don't know.

Hate to sound cliche with this, but these vaccines are so novel that many doctors would currently be incapable of truly knowing any long term effects. I understand the overall outcome is similar between traditional and mRNA vaccines, but how they achieve this is different. I'm not well versed to talk on the topic but I think it's obvious how much these vaccines differ from traditional types.
Personally, I've never experienced tinnitus or paresthesia from a vaccine before I had the Moderna jab. The constant lies from politicians and the media is also a deterrent for many. Why the fuck should they expect everyone to believe them at all?
