I can’t learn new things unless I’m lying down

If I’m seated in a chair looking at a computer or a book I feel too tired, I literally need to be laying in bed so I can read a few pages or watch a video with my face a few inches from the communication medium and then I take a quick nap (15 minutes), then I wake back up and read again.

I’m not sure if this is a common learning disorder, but I have noticed I can’t learn new things unless I use this technique. I have a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, I didn’t need to start studying until about the third year. I noticed I literally couldn’t learn new things during lectures because I was seated and too far from the person speaking, I had to learn everything by reading my textbooks while lying in bed. I cannot actually remember the last time I’ve really learned something in a standing or seated position, I have to be lying down and extremely close to the object to learn.

Anyone else have this affliction? I’ve done okay academically, I got a 33 on my ACT and have a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, I would guess my IQ is roughly 115, not enough to hinder my ability to learn things. I’m hoping someone else can help me understand this learning disorder so I can be more successful at learning the advanced things you guys discuss.
