Is florida state university a good college for economics?

Im considering applying there next year as an economics student, it will be my second year.
I'm from Italy.

Can you give me some info about the college, the surrounding environment, and if the economics branch is good?

Also more in general, what advice do you have about studying a year abroad?
I think it could be useful to a more distinguished resume and also make contact with businesses in the US and maybe do some internship, and also meet us students, since I would like to move to the US to work in the future and I know how difficult it is.
