>>14010362Viruses don’t cause diseases, your body does. When we are exposed to pathogens, our body triggers various defense mechanisms in response to them, leading to the symptoms you feel when you’re sick. If you never triggered this response (the immune response) you would die quite easily.
Viruses are arbitrarily defined as “not alive,” but they do have RNA that is released into cells to trigger the immune response. The response varies based on type of pathogen, location of the pathogen, and how fast it spreads. Some infections are in places with high priority, so your body won’t kill those cells, but instead create a special helper T-cell response (Th17.1) to create a micro biome around the infected cell creating a cancer down the line.
Your body is responsible for all you feel during a sickness, and without it you’d quickly die or need to live in a bubble.
