Do you guys know of any drugs or things to take to combat brain aging and protect against neurodegenerative disease? Alzheimer's, dementia, etc. I have heard of resveratrol, but I was just wondering what you guys knew?

Play videogames (rts/moba) 2-3 hours a day.
Eat lots of fish.
Take nad+ if your over 40.
Fast regularly.
Cardio exercise 15 minutes every day. Ideally 60.

Fish and coconut oil are good for maintaining brain functions and slowing down degeneration, of course just a healthy life in general would help greatly, doing hard mental tasks would keep the neurons strong too, so start getting into mathematics and other similar hobbies.

Prob takes more energy to support a muscular body, therefore when you get older you may not be able to supply as efficiently. Or something like that im not a doctor.

This part isn't wrong. The theory goes that your body can deal with misfolded proteins in the brain and elsewhere, but as the persons body gets weaker (fatter, sicker, etc) these protection mechanisms fail.

This is why the newest drug (aducanumab) does not seem to be helping the symptoms even though it can remove some of these misfolded proteins (amyloid beta). The only other drug that has shown to help majorly in symptoms of the disease in phase 3 trials is simufilam, which corrects a misfolded protein without removing it.
