we're going to rely more on computer models more than anything else

all the new stuff was discovered throughout the 1950's - 90's, research has hit a wall
it's now about finding some obscure protein, process, etc. that really applies to nothing in the real world

it depends, computational neuroscience research can be complex while behavioral isn't so bad

if you're passionate about it, yes
otherwise, no, other fields are easier and pay better
