if they say something that contradicts the group think their ten years of memorizing cattle texts (that they owe debt on), their social status, their career prospects and earning potential, and frankly their ego and life itself go out the window
you cannot trust these people. you cannot trust any western institution or leader. you cannot trust your doctor. you cannot trust your scientists or their corrupt research funded by interest groups (and thrown away if the results don't fit the narrative.)
as soon as they started cancelling dissenters, destroying careers, as soon as the media started marching in lockstep with big pharma, the government, the opposition politicians, the universities and the 'counter culture', the west as an open and honest model of free ideas was dead.
do not trust them. they do not care about you. empathy has been dead for a long time, but now the last façade of integrity has been butchered too. in my country they fired all the doctors and scientists that spoke out. now the media is government funded. the world considers my country to be a shining example of free western progressivism.
do not trust them. ever.
