Why do women take a passive while men take an active role in dating?

It does not make any sense that girls would wait passively for potential suitors to approach and pick them as a girlfriend. Women want to make sure to breed with the best male possible but if they just act passively then isn't their dating pool completely out of their control?
Please explain to me why men evolved to be active and women evolved to be passive in dating.

Women take an active role by judging each suitor and very selectively turning down all but the best.
Suitors can fight all they want, but at the end of the day, she can very easily reject them.
I don't understand where you get this passive idea from. You literally have to let two neurons in your brain fire and realize the sentence:

Biology and by that extension makes it so that women are essentially too weak to venture to do any sort of endevour but the ones within the safe-spaces created by males. So, lets examine this again. Because our women suck and our "out" of business for 9-12 months during birth, men are essentially stuck doing everything but the easiests tasks, this means that we have to be "ACTIVE". Women by their biological nature are stuck being "PASSIVE".

My question is the following then; assuming that we do not live in an artificial society that forces us to embrace behaviors that are unnatural to us, which human being is more likely to approach? The one that is always passive, or the one that is always active?

Now to round it off with social aspect. Women's biological weakness means that their safity is tied to the tribe, so if she fucks up, she's done 100%. One PMS, and predators will smell it from miles away and she's fucked. So she can't afford to be like a man in her approaching process.

TL:DR: Risk taking active women did not reproduce as much as the passive risk-avoidant once, and as such they got outcompeted down the line. A modern day analogy to this is a career woman that shits out 1 child, will be outcompeted by a birthing machine that shits out 10 kids.

Quality can only go so far before Quantity overtakes.

So women are discouraged from being assertive and strong in some cultures. But in other cultures like the Scythians, women were viewed as equals to men. There were female Scythian rulers with the famous Tomyris known for leading her people to defeat the invading Persians and killing King Cyrus and cutting his head off. Scythian women fought in battle with Scythian men and Greeks noted fierce female warriors from that area they called Amazons. Basically passivity in women can be attributed to the patriarchy and if we are to reach the amazon female small male master race, it must be cast aside.

I was approached by beautiful women back during high school so they definitely do approach men. They want to approach men just like men with women but because of gender roles are discouraged from being assertive. I think an important factor though is trust. Unfortunately, a lot of men take advantage of women so women want to know who you are and if you're a good person before they get comfortable with making a move. Women are discouraged from being strong, confident, and assertive and the men that take advantage of women erode trust and aren't punished to discourage their behavior. That is a factor to the passivity along with the fact that culture tends to ignores female sexuality and along with the shaming of natural human sexuality, women end up ignoring and repressing their own sexuality. I mean you only have to look at the /pol/tards that have been trying to push the nofap meme for years now which all stems from the guilt and shame they've been conditioned to feel over something that's otherwise a natural part of humans and animals in general.

Lolwut. The point of fishing is to catch fish. Those that do so for a living take their fishing vessels to sea and deploy huge nets to catch many fish at a time. Spearfishing is also another fishing technique. I wouldn't consider that passive.

They might not be as active as men but they certainly can be active. I've always been almost a recluse but when I was forced to talk to girls back in high school I had two girls explicitly ask me out on a date, one a couple of times and another one multiple times. They weren't the most attractive ones of course, one was average to ugly and the other one was decent looking with fat tits.

They most definitely are but socially constructed gender roles tell them that they have to be submissive so it's not an instinct and if anything it's the opposite. For example, women during WW2 many of whom had such a strong motivation to help any way they could whether by working in factories or by fighting alongside their men to defend their countries famously serving as snipers and partisans with some racking up many kills. Women are very brave, but in the West they are told they have to be submissive. Take away the current gender roles and their bravery will surprise you. Just at times being a dumb guy, men have lower EQs and IQs for that matter, have more difficulty with our emotions especially with feelings that are strong, strange, and leave us feeling vulnerable like attraction makes reciprocation at times hard resulting in chickening out. Interestingly enough, this also partly explains why sometimes people paradoxically tease or bully a person they actually like. Freud called this reaction formation. But from the examples, it's not that women are strictly passive and men are strictly active. Ultimately with approaching, it depends on the individual like it does for men. And if there's any discrepancy it's again probably from gender roles and not from some inherent biological difference.

I mean we already know women have higher IQs and EQs than men. They do much better in school and in academia, their minds are better suited for it.

They can also be stronger and faster than men especially if they train. If you think to primary school you'll remember that's how it was. Females develop before males, quicker, and hit puberty first. So what happened was all the girls were taller, stronger, faster, more athletic, more mature and developed than the boys. During gym class they had higher standards in mile times and pull ups to reflect their superior athleticism. Like I remember we had to see all the girls climb a rope to the top at the ceiling and back down while we had to watch embarrassed because the best any of the boys could do was like half-way up the rope. Most of the boys were barely able climb a few feet lol. I also remember during one class the teacher was showing something on the projector so the lights were off and it was dim but you could still see. At that point I wasn't really mature enough to know what sex was but these girls in class were trying to tease this other boy. Nobody else was noticing what they were doing but they were making these weird discreet gestures that I was catching in the corner of my eye. Now I know the gestures they were making were sexual in nature but at that time it made me feel weird and it started to make my private parts feel funny but I didn't really understand what was going on. It was frustrating me so I had to ignore them the best I could even though they were giggling and enjoying it apparently. So while they start puberty, boys are calling girls gross, how they have cooties, and embarrassing other boys after discovering their crush with the "kissing in a tree" song. Although eventually puberty hits guys too a few years later and it shuts us up, completely changing how females make us feel lol.

Heck, European and Central Asian cultures were based around gender equality, if not matriarchy before adopting patriarchal Abrahamic religions from the Middle East. Many Indigenous American tribes also had matriarchal cultures. So you can say that maybe patriarchy is the exception here. Scandinavian countries which have been trending towards secularism, meaning less religious influence, have greater gender equality. Countries that become communist take a secular approach with greater gender equality seen as a result. They pushed for women's rights and established International Women's Day to celebrate and empower women. Women in these socialist countries were more sexually satisfied than women in the Western non-socialist countries.
