are there any studies that looked at infection rates between remote and non-remote workers? it just seems to me that if the government really care about stopping transmission there would be some policy to encourage businesses to get their employees to work from home to avoid spreading the virus. i would even wager that remote work is significantly more effective than the vaccine. that unvaxxed remote workers have lower infection rates than vaccinated non-remote workers. can't catch the pathogen if you aren't forced to be among people. if there isn't anything on covid, is there for other airborne viruses like influenza? also that takes into account commuting as that commute only happens because people are forced to come to the office.
