I’m 30, most anons are within 10 years of my age, and if you’re a spacefag our entire lives have been one terrible disappointment after another (Challenger disaster, Columbia disaster, end of the Space Shuttle program, rise of Apollo mission skeptics, increasing public disinterest with space, increase of misinformation/disinformation about the nature of astronomy by public personas etc.). For those of us who never stopped looking up, we’ve never been more alienated living on this planet, and it just follows the trend that we won’t get what we want.
