Shitty experiment thread:
For users with optical laser mice.
Position your cursor in the center of your screen.
Lift your mouse up off your desk/mousepad, etc...
Hold your mouse in the air, and slowly lower it (With the laser pointing downward), just to the point that the cursor begins to register movement with the optical laser.
As soon as movement is registered, raise the mouse again above the movement detection threshold, and oscillate the mouse up and down over the threshold until the cursor touches one side of your monitor.
Please repeat multiple times and test holding your mouse angled across each axis.

I have done this experiment myself, and no matter how I angle the mouse, the cursor always moves to the right side of my monitor.
