Yesterday my developmental psychology professor (required elective course) asserted that IQ was a social construct and has no biological basis; I informed him that the body of evidence was to the contrary, supplied him with a couple of concise arguments (including racial IQ discrepancies), and he told me I was dangerously misinformed. I am considering challenging him to a formal debate during our next lecture at a time and place of his choosing (and with any professor representing his perspective, for that matter).

Do you think I should follow through with challenging him? I am exceptionally confident that the truth is on my side and I am capable of representing the ideas in an articulate fashion.

I imagine the debate would go something like this (chatting about the science vs flailing about dangerous ideas):
